IECEx Approved Thermocouples for the Petrochemical, Oil and Gas Industries

with Termination Entry Gland

Our IECEx approved semi rigid mineral insulated thermocouple assemblies are manufactured using material that conforms to IEC 61515. Due to the nature of the cable used, the sheaths can be bent and formed without affecting performance.
  • The following thermocouple types are available: K, T, J, N, E, R, S and B
  • A wide range of protection concepts are available for use in Zones 0, 1 & 2. See table below for details
  • For stand-off requirements (Temperature classification T6-T1), see here
  • Available in 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 3.0mm, 4.5mm, 6.0mm & 8.0mm diameters in a wide range of sheath materials
  • A floating output with high insulation resistance is given via an insulated measuring junction
  • These sensors can be UKAS calibrated
  • Compression gland termination, supplied with 50mm PTFE tails

Hot junction insulated from sheath. Gives floating output with typical insulation resistance in excess of 100 megohms


Assemblies with pot seals are supplied with short tails as shown. However, where leads are several metres or more long, it is more suitable to have an overall sheathed cable. We recommend the following cables.
