What is a Pt1000 Sensor - Reference Information
What is a Pt1000?
A Pt 1000 isa type of resistance temperature sensor, similar to Pt100s but made using a Platinum element with a resistance of 1000 ohms @ 0ºC and typically with a 385 ohm fundamental interval (change in resistance over the range 0 to 100ºC). Because they have an inherently higher resistance than that of Pt100 Sensors, they are especially suited for 2-wire applications where lead resistances become less of an issue due to the higher initial resistance of the element. They are are used for a wide variety of temperature measurement applications. All of our styles of Pt 100 Sensor are available with a Pt1000 element as well as Pt130.
