TC Ltd supply temperature sensors for a wide range of applications which are derivatives of power generation such as energy from waste, wind, oil and gas, nuclear and solar. We manufacture and supply Thermocouple and RTD sensors in a wide range of styles suitable for use within all aspects of power generation from power plants to district councils.
Sensor designs such as air inlet thermocouples, bearing sensors, heavy duty industrial thermocouples are commonplace. With those sensors, various accessories such as sealing glands (for use when the user’s application requires a vacuum seal or high-pressure gland to seal against media), thermowells (heavy duty pockets for sensors which protect the sensor sheath) and theinstrumentation required to control or monitor the process such as indicators or temperature controllers.
Both RTD sensors and thermocouples are popular choices for power generation. RTD sensors can provide more accurate readings, but are unsuitable for high temperature or vibration applications. Thermocouples have a wider temperature range and are used at high temperatures, sometimes with the use of heavy-duty outer sheaths or thermowells. Thermowells can be made from various metals or from PTFE to protect sensors in environments where corrosive substances or acids are present.
