Thermocouples and RTD Sensors designed for use in Injection Moulding Applications
Thermocouples and RTD Pt100 Sensors are commonly used to measure temperatures in plastic extrusion and injection moulding machines. TC manufacture various thermocouple and RTD sensors designed for these applications including; nozzle thermocouples, bayonet thermocouples, melt bolt thermocouples, nozzle RTD's, bayonet thermocouples and RTD sensors and various surface temperature sensors, all are suitable for high and low temperature applications.
Thermocouple Types J and K are the most commonly used thermocouples in plastics machinery applications and offer a fast response to changes in temperature. Other thermocouple types such as T and N are also available.
RTD Pt100 Sensors are available in a wide range of styles to suit plastics machinery applications and offer a higher accuracy of measurement over thermocouples.
Our range of thermocouples and Pt100 sensors for plastics machinery are designed for either direct immersion into injection moulding or extrusion processes, including those designed for the high pressures encountered in nozzles, whilst other sensors are designed to measure the surface temperature of various pipes or vessels.
